Check out Venus and Jupiter

Look at the South West sky for the next few days around dusk to see them. They're near the moon. Pretty neat to see them so close to each other. Quite bright as well. I noticed them yesterday but thought they were just airplanes because they are so bright. But after checking out that spot in the sky 10 minutes later and they hadn't moved, I figured they must be planets. Checked the web, found this link , and sure enough...

I noticed them on Sunday and Monday night, and looked for them again last night (Tuesday, Dec. 2), and sure enough, they were gone! It was neat seeing them for two nights. It is a reminder of how small we are. Also, with Christmas coming, it makes me think of the "Three Wise Men", who followed the star to find Bethlehem.

I had the opener shift at the course today, before sunrise, and was able to see Venus out there in the same spot. Around 5:50am.
