SGI and GI Irons

I am still uncertain as to how one can tell the difference between a SGI, a GI and a regular CB iron. Can somone clarify this for me.

headsize, ammount of offset, lofts, and topline can distinguish between the three. Also some sgi irons also now come with hybrids instead of long and even mid irons.

For example, the Nike Slingshots seem to have massive heads, where would they fall under?

I'm not sure when a game improvement iron becomes 'super'. Ping describe their rapture irons as SGI and their G10's as GI. Maybe you can find some answers (or should that be ansers lol) by comparing those irons on their website?

The descriptions are purely subjective and vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. As there is no defining criteria, the terms are not completely meaningful.

The way i tell(not including massive heads, and look) is by hitting the club and i can always feel the difference.

One thing to check out is the "Maltby playability factor" Just google "Maltby playability factor" He goes through his process of defining clubs as SGI, GI, etc. This is also a good reference when looking for clubs.
