They might be soon, which is a shame. All the clubs in my bag are Ben Hogan and I learned how to play using them. All the Apex series irons are great.

if i am correct, spaulding owns the ben hogan line. i was told by an associate at my pro shop that callaway bought spaulding a while back, so they own the ben hogan line. they aren't dead, they are just taking a break and focusing on bigger products. atleast i hope, because i love the look and feel of the ben hogan blades they are great clubs.

Callaway acquired Ben Hogan from Spaulding as part of the Top Flite deal a few years back.

My bet is Callaway will just let the line die, but retain the rights to the name, until someone wants to buy the rights from them.

Callaway bought Ben Hogan (which also means they now own the Top-Flite brand). Hogan was known for tour-caliber equipment, but it also cut into its new parent's market share. Hence, Callaway has been reluctant to put the Hogan name on more than apparel and other licensed merchandise. On the other hand, Top-Flite works out as a downmarket label for them, so it continues to make balls and clubs for the big boxes of the world.

Callaway probably lost interest in future development of Hogan when they added forged clubs to their own brand lineup.

Let's hope somebody buys the name and builds clubs worthy of it.

They don't even have any products shown on the Hogan website. They've been off of it for over a month. That either means something new is coming soon or they're dropping the brand. I hope Callaway keeps the Hogan name alive.

This is correct
Callaway acquired Ben Hogan from Spaulding as part of the Top Flite deal a few years back.

From a Callaway announcement

In September 2005, the Company began the implementation of several company-wide restructuring initiatives designed to improve the Company’s business processes and reduce the Company’s overall expenses. The 2005 Restructuring Initiatives include, among other things, the consolidation of the Callaway Golf, Odyssey, Top-Flite and Ben Hogan lines.

The Ben Hogan line is being discontinued. There have been great deals on equipment this year. Got a set of forged irons for $300 ! , and some good deals on some hybrids.
