i suggest the AP2's. they were fantastic when i demoed em. a ton of workabililty and forgivability. the VR's look great too and hit pretty smooth. the tp's are a nice choice as well. overall i'd suggest the AP2's.

I've demo'ed the Nike's and the AP2's. I didnt care for the Nike's... the AP2's had a good feel to them but I couldnt get over the appearance of them.

The best cavity back iron I have played is the Nickent 4dx Pros... they have a very soft forged feel and are very workable. I dont care for the shafts too much. I think they may be a bit light because they made the clubs feel head heavy. I am still thinking of getting a set 5-PW and switching out the shafts. Give them a try... oe of the best feeling irons out there.

I purchased the AP2s with the Project X shafts when they first came out. I love these clubs and have no complaints whatsoever. For what it's worth, they also have the v grooves, so they'll conform to the rule change.

    • Day 457 - 2025-12-31 Stayed after some GEARS Hybrid stuff with my senior girls and got some work in. Also, kicked Tegan's butt at a chipping contest with a wedge that has a lousy toe profile.
    • Day 141 12-31 Reconnecting arm and club face work. Making sure left wrist is arched only on the downswing. Not doing full swings, im pausing at the top and will do a few rehearsals.  Hit a few real balls  after, and had some curve way left.
    • That was a good watch. When I started working on pelvis in the backswing. I thought, this sounds contradictory to those leg straightening threads on the site. Erik has already done a correction. Then the last lesson we went more down the route of feeling the right knee gains flex. It doesn’t, but the feeling keeps my knee position in a good range. Also, I just realized how much extra work my right hip needed to do to stabilize the body with the proper weight shift. Those glute and hip stabilizers got worked. 🤣 I wish this evolution in the golf instruction happened 20 years ago! 😭
    • I've been Playing Golf for: 40 yrs My current handicap index or average score is: 4.0 factor My typical ball flight is: Straight however sometimes slight draw. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: squirt to the right due to to much arm not enough turn.
