I have about a driver SS in the low 90's. My irons are in the 80's. Trying to see if R300 or Rifle 5.0 or Rifle 5.5 will be best for me.

Rifles play stiff to most folks. You are probably 4.5 in Rifle if you are R300 in DG. You should carry a 7 iron 150 yards to hit the 5.0 comfortably, 160 for the 5.5. I hit the 7 145 yds. and that is clearly regular in either of these shafts.

So I should go with R300 or the Rifle 5.0.

My current clubs feel too stiff for me. Ben Hogan #4 and couple clubs with S300 shafts. Hopefully for my birthday I can get a new set with softer shafts.

Rifle Flighted or PX's have different kickpoints depending on what club it is in. Lower kickpoints for higher launch in long irons; higher kickpoints for lower launch in short irons/wedges. PX's have a higher launch that DG's I think.

DG's are also top quality shafts. You can mess with the kickpoints, too, but I think Rifle does a better job at optimizing everything. PX's are probably better, but DG's are almost as good...IMO.

In my Ogio Ozone Bag:

    • I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family
    • First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
