HA thats what tom watson used to say after pounding balls on range. i wish i had 10 cents for every time i said that.
i think i got it.
i consistently started the swing using all upper body. i think i have it, is this feeling?
staying very loose from the hips up, as you get to the top of the your back swing you are trying to propel the club through the ball by using your weight shift from the right to the left foot while keeping your arms tension free and letting the club fall right down to the ball. no attempt to hit it just trying to whip it through by using the weight shift.
thoughts?
this game is crazy!!!

Congratulations, but if you find that you really don't have it, then try the Master Key instruction that I have been posting about. I "got it" about 8 months ago, using that instruction, and I still have it. Now if I just had two good eyes to read greens with...oh well.

Congratulation from me too. I also use my upper body to pull my lower body during back swing. Then use my lower body pull everything back down in downswing. One thing I really pay attention to is my Balance. I make sure I am in Balance back and through. That's all : )

That's how I do it also.... after 3 years of being an upper body hitter!!!!

I learned a while ago however to never say "I got it". As soon as I did....... I would lose it.

    • With the hot weather……I’ll take a Gatorade please.
    • 60 minutes on the local school playing fields, trying to discover my former grip,I found it and used a lob wedge with which I was able to group 3 balls pretty near together, very happy to have found my old grip and its give me a lot more confidence so I can go have a round of golf with my brother and his step sons,I have not stepped on a course for 20 years, still I can hit my old yardages and that's great as I'm now 62...everybody have a great day
    • I have this issue as well. I play in a bi-weekly league and I generally work on my drills and feels as I'm playing in the league...lol. But to be honest, they really do not affect me in a bad way too much. If anything, my irons are actually more crisp.  The issue comes in when I transition to the woods....so I try to find a happy medium there for the time being. But as far as bad shots go, they are no worse than they were before worrying about drills and what not.  Just speaking for my experience, obviously.
    • Another good episode. I below its a skill to be able to find a functional swing between where you were and where you want to be. I am guilty of trying to do too much on the course instead of just playing.  The goal is to play golf better. Not turn a round of golf into a practice session.
    • SUMMER HAS ARRIVED!!! Just in time for this golf outing.
