golf channel amatuer tour

has anybody ever played on the golf channel amatuer tour?if so how is it good worth the money?or not

I haven't played but I know a girl from our club who played a few tournaments in the Houston area last year. She's a pretty reasonable golfer, plays off 15 or 16, and she said the competition was well organized, they looked after you with freebies, and the prizes were pretty good. Don't know if that's enough to make a recommendation on but thought I'd share it with you anyways....

I've been thinking about doing it as well.
Ironically, I'd also be on the Houston "tour".
You and I wouldn't be in the same flight though.

I played in two events on this tour last year and it was very well run, decent prizes and stuff. I would like to do a few more events, but will probably wait another summer before doing it. They also have an end of the year tourny with bigger prizes, etc.

Just seems like a lot of the locations for Golf Channel have poor turnout compared to this one. I'd suggest looking through each tours past results and see how many people are actually attending EACH event.
