Do you feel they play softer to flex? Or am I the only one feeling this way? Does anyone know the frequency of BB 73S and BB 83S? How about frequency of BB 73X and BB 83X? Thanks.

Assuming they are like almost every other shaft out there, just becasue it says stiff on it, doesnt mean thats the CPM it plays to. There is a range that shaft fits to on the CPM Scale, (using Matrix as an example, as i find theirs to be pretty well crafted and accurate) For example, my back up driver CPM's at 264, making it play a true X, if it was at say 261, it would still be classified as an X, but would indeed play to more of a firm/strong flex.

Not every BB will come out to exactly 264, there is a range that they fit them in accordingly.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is the only difference between say BB 73S vs BB 73X the weight in the shaft or is the cpm different too? If so do you know by how many points 73X would be higher compared to 73S? Thanks.

How much difference between say BB 83s and 83x in terms of cpm? Do you or anyone happen to have this info? I am coming from playing stiff Prolaunch Red and Prolaunch Red Fairway. Would I go better with BB 73s and 83s or BB 73x and 83x combo for my driver and fairway combo? Thanks for the help?

The obvious difference is that the 73 and 83 is that ten grams. I assume that those measurements are not exact, meaning that one shaft may be 82 grams, another 84, but they all fit in an acceptable range..

As far as i know, diamana does not have this sort of chart, and keep in mind, this chart is for Matrix sahfts, and since they are different desighns, made differently, etc etc, these numbers will probobly not fit for your Diamana, but it may help you a bit.

http://www.matrixshafts.com/fitting.html

So since my X Con 6 is 264, it fits in a pretty soft X. So just because it says X doesnt mean that it is.

The words, Stiff, and X, or any other regular, etc etc. are very vague unless you have the CPM's and a chart. Everyone has demoed a few different drivers where you are trading lofts, and you play Two different Blue Boards, they both say stiff on them, but one hooks to the left and feels soft, and the other leaves em out right and feels pretty stiff.

As you can see, I personally went with a slightly softer shaft in the driver, and a full X in my 3 wood. I like the stronger feeling of my X in my 3 woods, feels like its got a bit more control, and if i load it with all ive got, i can get great yardage. With the driver, i like the normal Strong, feels pretty powerful (not soft, but not stiff. if that makes sence) but i can reach back for a few more yards witht out fear of going left.

Hope this helps!!
