Does anyone have experience with both? I'll need to drive about an hour to get to a Golf Galaxy to try both since there isn't a shop in my area that offers the Bettinardi (only SC). I took a few swings with a used Bettinardi while in Florida last week and really liked the feel. I've tried the SC before and liked that too.

Thanks in advance.

I know this won't help you narrow it down but I tested both of those and in the end I went with the Ping Redwood Anser. All good putters, in the end, when I was testing them the Ping put more balls in the hole.

Thanks. I'm open to other suggestions. My biggest issue is the softness of teh face insert on my Odyssey. The greens I play are slow and the insert is just too soft for my taste, especially on long putts. I'm looking for something without an insert.

Obviously you haven't used this putter...

Per the OPQ "Bettinardi C series or Scotty Studio Select"... Is this just another Titleist/Mizuno brand loyalty personal preference test, or are you actually considering one OR the other? I actually like both...but have no need for either.

I had a similar issue with and odyssey insert being too soft and switch to a Scotty Studio Select and haven't looked back. I would recommend this putter to anyone best putter (possibly club) I've ever owned.

I have tinkered with the Cameron and own a C series. The only big difference I could tell was the weight. The Bettinardi seemed to be a little lighter than the Cameron, but I didn't weight them or even try them side by side. The feel of the ball off the face was about the same to me. Both have a really soft feel, which may not be the best thing for really slow greens. There is one course I play once a year or so that has really slow greens and I will use my old Ping Anser for that course so I don't have to try and hit the ball as hard.

Admittedly, I am not that big into putters and really don't mess with them too much. All my info is just recollection from when I was looking for a new one last year. I have a couple that I like and I stick with them.

My decision on getting the Bettinardi boiled down to price. I found a new one for about half the price of a Cameron.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I'm considering both but am open to other options. How can this be a brand loyalty test when my bag has mixed brands and my current putter is neither a Titleist or Mizuno? I chose both because I have liked my limited experience with both and they are perceived as some of the best putters on the market. Awfully quick to judge don't you think? If I had posted a poll saying "Which Is Better?" and only listed the two I could understand but all I was doing is looking for insight into those two brands.

The "brand loyalty test" line was a joke - referring to the seemingly endless one-sided support of one vs the other here on TST.

Usually Cameron lovers and Bettinardi lovers are pretty gung-ho about their preferred flat stick.

I'm currently using (and don't forsee a switch) the putter in my sig. Although, I do own a PING Anser 2, a YES! Tracy, a Circa '62 no. 1 . . .

You are obviously out to find the best putter for your game, but really only you can make that call. Buena suerte!

Yea, I did try that putter. I hit it for a half hour trying to like it. In the end, I thought it was way over rated and not worth 300$. I ended up with more feel and distance control with another putter half the price.

I'm a bit of a putter *****, I liked both putters, I used a Mizuno forged putter, then a Circa 62, and just bought a Ping Redwood Anser for this year. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, it really depends on what feels best to you.

Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?

Haven't tried one yet, but the new Bettinardi Black Carbon putters (BC7 (8802) and BC6 (anser)) will be here soon.

The softness of my Odyssey XG White Hot #1 insert was the exact same reason I went to a putter without an insert. I think it was probably because the balls are getting softer, I didn't have any feel. I still have one of the early Odyssey White Hot 2-Ball blades with the original flat-style insert, not the criss-cross pattern, and that feels OK still. Nowhere near as soft.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
    • Day 127 12-17 Backswing and flow practice. Took advantage of the 60 degeee weather(it was 20 degrees Sunday)
