The simple answer to your question is yes, depending on the material used. Some of the cleveland wedges are extremely hard to bend, so some retailers send them back to have the company bend them. Your adams should not be hard to bend, but 3 degrees is risky. Each time you bend a club you take the risk of having microfractures within the metal that will wear over time. Just take it to your local golf club or to a retailer like golf galaxy although galaxy does not like to bend clubs more than 2 degrees either way.

I agree, bending it three degrees is quite a bit.

Also, bending a wedge 3* strong will reduce the bounce of the wedge by 3*.

It shouldn't be a problem to bend the wedge to adjust the loft 2 degrees...but 3 is getting borderline.

BUT ..... what about the bounce? That is the biggest thing to keep in mind. If you can live with the reduced bounce that results from a bend to a stronger loft, then you might be OK with a 2* adjustment.

Any tour van operator will tell you that moving a loft more than 1.5* usually creates a ill-handling club. I have seen wedges bent 2* before with no ill effects. But I would sell the club and replace it with the proper lofted wedge if it were me.

I agree that bending it 3º is too much. It might work, but probably not as well as a new or used 52º wedge. If you like the Cleveland wedge, you can try to sell the 55º wedge to fund a new or used 52º. If you can't sell it, try to scrape together some cash to buy a new wedge anyways.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
    • Day 127 12-17 Backswing and flow practice. Took advantage of the 60 degeee weather(it was 20 degrees Sunday)
