Hey guys, I am curious to know what the deal is with the difference in the two shafts. Ball flights, Kick Points, Pro's and Cons, etc.

btw, I am curious because i had flighted shafts in my old wedges and with the new wedges with DG's i tend to fly them much higher than i want.

I am currently using the project x shaft in all of my irons. I'm confident in saying that I will not switch back to dynamic golds or flighted rifles unless the usga magically bans project x shafts. I love them. here is a quick breakdown of the s300's, rifles, flighted rifles, and project x's.

TT Dynamic Gold S300 - mid to low flight, stiffer in the shorter irons, but constant weight through-out

Precision Rifle 6.5 - High flight, consistant flex throughout set, harsh on mis-hits

Precision Flighted Rifle 6.0 - high flight in long irons, low flight in short irons, not meant for all club heads.example, would not recomend putting thme into clubs that are designed to help your game AKA game improvement irons because they generally are alrady designed for high flight long irons and mid to low flight short irons.

Precision Project X 5.5 - Consistant flight troughout set, launch high but not balloon, flattens out, zero distance loss, if any some gained. Oddly, these shafts apparently are to reduce spin on your shots, but I spin the hell out of them, but I can control it, which is nice.

    • Ah.. my regular weekend league. Lol Scrambles are fine. Usually there's charity involved. So there's that. There are much worse events Im forced to attend twice a year.
    • Does Justin Thomas have a massively underrated short game? It seems every time I look up he's hitting it close from a tough lie after short siding himself. What masterful touch
    • I freaking hate them. Too expensive, cheaters, food sucks, too dependent on weather, I keep telling myself never do it again but I'm a dummy
    • I enjoyed the A-B-C-D scramble we did at Kittyhawk before it shut down. Yes. The point was to meet the other members and get the season kicked off. Nobody took it too seriously. At least with that group, cheating wasn't a big issue.  As the D part of A-B-C-D, I enjoyed getting to play with one of the Association's top players. One year I played with the city champ. Man could he hit a ball.  It probably isn't something I'd want to do more than once a year, but it has its place.
