Went to a 52 56 60 set up. Not sure what im gonna drop... i think i might just drop the hybrid all together, 3-PW, 52 56 60, and 3 wood and driver.

Any thoughts on the three wedge set up? got real tired of the 140 PW and 120 54. thats just way too big of a fade to hit readily.

I figure then i can go

Pw-140
52-125
56-110
60-100

My this will be weird..

Instead of a 3 wedge setup... you could just move to sea level where we use spoons and 2 irons in addition to the 3-pw.... lol.

Serously though... good luck... sounds like the right idea to me.

I carry that same wedge combo.

I go with either: driver, 3 wood, 5 wood or more recently driver, 4 wood, 3 hybrid.

I do love having that extra wedge and the different bounce options.

You play wedges at distances that I'm not familiar with. Dang longknocker!!!

I understand your dilema, though, be it on a shorter scale. I've got too large a gap between clubs. 48 PW, 54 SW and 58 LW. This compounded by having a low bounce on my LW. It's not as friendly from greenside bunkers as it could be with more bounce.

If I'm to keep it with three wedges then I think I'll go 48 PW and 52 GW both 6-8 degrees of bounce, 56 w/ 12-16 degrees bounce and then a if I wanted to drop....say my 7 wood then add a 60 LW with 10-12 degrees bounce.

I can understand your dropping the hybrid. The results that you are probably getting from your long irons are most likely very solid.

Haha, weren't you the one who said screw having more wedges in my post about club gapping?? I totally understand though, I just bought a 52* yesterday because of that same gap. I feel pretty good about it, especially in early season form, because trying to guage that 120-125 number with a soft PW would be a tough task until I get my feel back. Who really knows how I'll feel about it though, only time will tell if I will really miss my 2-iron (sniffle...). Or if it will be more of a pain to create a shot between my longest iron and 3-wood than it would to create a 3/4 PW. Sigh, who knows. I think I'm gonna have the same bag setup as you. Let us know how it works out!
