I walk nearly all the time when i play golf. ive been using an Ogio carry bag (the one with the "schling") for about a year and a half. Its time for a new bag. Some of things i have come not to like about the ogio bag that i have is- one, the legs will never fully delpoy and the bag often falls over unless i physically spread the legs apart - And two, the lining on the compartment that your woods go into have scuffed up my shafts and taken off some of the paint in areas. (I use yellow proforce V2 shafts and can see some of the black base layer underneath...I hope this isnt a problem )

So what im looking for is a bag that is easy to slip on and off (its the main factor really) and one that has all the ammedities that im used to with the ogio bag. I like have a beverage spot right outside the bag on my left so i can use it when i walk and dont have to go digging into a pouch.

I also like have some seperation for my clubs so they dont all get bunched up in one mess and i have to go fishing to find the club i want to use. Durabillity is important too as i can play as much as 45 holes a day on weekends.

So ya got any suggestions?

I too walk 95% of the time and I switched to an Izzo bag this year (after numerous years with Titleist then Ogio). They have just the right amount of compartments (5) and plenty of separation (7 w/full dividers). Plus, the magnetic ball compartment and 2-up dual strap are the best in I have ever used.

Those look pretty sweet. Online retailer only? Ive never heard of izzo before. Is the bag easy to slip on and off?

While I have been happy with my Ogio Grom, if I were to try a different brand I think the only other one I would really consider at this time is the Sun Mountain 4.5 with 14 individual club dividers.

I believe this has a similar water bottle pouch as the Ogio Grom.

Full disclosure, I haven't actually used or even seen one in the wild... That being said, the entire lineup of Bennington Golf Bags looks pretty sweet. Their Light Quiet Organizer bag might fit your specific needs.

Yes, online only

(Golfio) . Very easy to get on and off. Honestly, I cannot point out one thing that I dislike about the bag (however I've used mine for only 5 rounds so time will tell on durability). BTW, the name Izzo has been around a long time. They were the originators of the dual strap system. They are fairly new to bags though.

Those would all work. Im really liking that izzo bag though. I might give that a try. The sun mountain bag looks good too but a couple of people ive met havent been totally satisified with their SM bags.

I personally use the Titleist x86 bag and i love it. It's light weight, good number of pockets, and a handy water bottle pocket! If I could buy another bag now, I'd probably go with the Sun Mountain Four-5 carry bag which can be seen http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...EGORY_ID=11900 . I'm a sucker for individual dividers :P

nike sasquatch tour stand bag is nice, but is a little bit heavier. easy on and off, plus the 14 way full length club divider, cooler pocket for drinks, and waterproof pocket for valuables. Nice ball feed system for a few extras. Solid base and legs. easy to convert to a cart bag for the occassional riding round too.

though if I were buying right now, id be very tempted by the new sun mountian mentioned earlier

Just to throw a small wrinkle into this - have you ever thought of a good 3 wheeled push cart? I walked for years, and moved to the sun mountain speed cart 3 years ago. It is fantastic - have never had an issue. You might think it is a little old mannish, but the lack of wear and tear on my back has been very noticeable. good luck.

for me, carrying is all about having the good straps and being very light weight

sun mountain 3.5
weights only 3.5 lbs
with very wide and padded shoulder strap
leg is very sturdy
the leg mechanism is also great
(the legs don't spread out farther and farther with use)
i really like it
downside is the divider not being as great as ogio or mizuno

titleist x86 is another good choice
they are made by sun mountain, too
