I've been looking for quite a while for the right deal on a complete set of clubs for my wife. Based on postings here, and the Golf Digest Hot List, I had pretty much narrowed it down to the Adams or the Muzuno. These sets seemed pretty simlar, and included everything wifey needs to hit the course with me. I didn't really want to invest in separate irons, driver, putter, etc. Both were in the $500 to $600 range, even on ebay. Just today, I got an email from golfandskiwarehouse and picked up the full set for $400 delivered. A great deal from an authorized dealer.

Just in case somebody else is in the market for the same set, I wanted to let you know.

The clubs should be here in a week or so, I'll let you know how they work out.

In My Grom:
Driver: Taylormade R1 10.5°
Fairway: Taylormade RocketBallz Stage 2 Tour 14.5°
Hybrids: Ping G25 3, 4
Irons: Mizuno 5-PW JPX 800 Pro

Wedges: CG-14 50°, 56°, 60°

Putter: Nike Method 003

I'm interested in hearing what you think. Need to pick up a better set of clubs for the wife.

Please do. I know a couple girls thinking of getting their first set, and they are looking at the Mizuno Sora.

To the OP, did you order the standard or petite length? And as a comparison, how tall is your wife? My GF is looking for a set. She is 5'4" which I'm guessing would be a standard length, but border line petite. I really don't know anything about lengths of women's clubs. It looks, that for the most part, the irons are 1/2" shorter than men's clubs.

I ordered the standard set. My wife is 5'7", which I think is a good height for women's standard. I know girls around 5' to 5'2" generally get petite, but it seems as though your GF is right on the border. You are correct, the petite sets (at least in the Mizuno) are 1/2" shorter than regular, and the women's regular are about 1/2" shorter than mens regular. If it were me, I would err on the side of going too short, especially if her skill level is not pretty high. Best bet would be to try both if you can.

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.

    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
