Is there a max golf club weight?

I have an odd question that I can't seem to find an answer on the web. I have a TaylorMade r7 SuperQuad and have been experimenting with the weights. Well, least to say after several times out on the range, I've found that my swing really benefited when I bulked up the weight a bit. If you're familiar with TaylorMade's movable weight technology, you can change the weights that screw into the head of the driver. What i've done is the following:

Inside weights: 12 grams each
Outside weights: 6 grams each

I've found I have a more stable swing when I put in a little bit more weight. My question is whether there is a max that I can screw in that are within USGA regulations? I'm good with the weight right now, but just wanted to make sure I was within regulations. Thanks in advance for the feedback!!!

Althought I'm not entirely sure, I don't believe there is. If I remember correctly, the weights that the tour players used in their r7 were heavier than any of the weights available to the public.

      Ah.. my regular weekend league. Lol Scrambles are fine. Usually there's charity involved. So there's that. There are much worse events Im forced to attend twice a year.

      I enjoyed the A-B-C-D scramble we did at Kittyhawk before it shut down. Yes. The point was to meet the other members and get the season kicked off. Nobody took it too seriously. At least with that group, cheating wasn't a big issue.  As the D part of A-B-C-D, I enjoyed getting to play with one of the Association's top players. One year I played with the city champ. Man could he hit a ball.  It probably isn't something I'd want to do more than once a year, but it has its place.
