Another questions for the board. I am currently playing a very old 3 wood, an Adams Tight Lies 3 (they old solid grey head). I am going to go tonight after work and hit a few different 3 woods, and possibly go ahead and upgrade with that club. I hit the Adams decent, but was thinking that an upgrade may help some. A couple I am interested in are the Callaway X and the Mizuno F60. I know the launch monitor will help tell me some, but I was just curious as to how much change I may see switching from this older club? Will there be any noticeable distance change, forgiveness, etc.? My thought is that the newer clubs (the one that fits my swing best) should probably a little longer but I was not sure. Anyone know for sure? Thanks!

personally i think you will FEEL a big difference. not sure about results though. Id also give the Mizuno MX-700 a shot too if i were you. I have a Mizuno F-60 4 wood (its not listed in my signature) that i use sometimes (just recently bought it) and i love it. i just wish they made the MX-700 in a 4 wood or i would've gotten that. a buddy of mine uses the Callaway X 3 wood and kills the ball with it. great sound too

I tried the Callaway X and the F60 last night at golftown on their simulator. For me the Callaway was a better result and I was hitting it great. Lucky for me it was also the cheaper option so I grabbed it.

It's a bit expensive but the 909f2 is an AMAZING 3 wood IMHO.

I bought a mizuno F60 at a golf expo not too long ago, and i love it. It's face is a bit less shallow than most and its suuuper easy to hit off the deck. I normally use it for off tee on shorter holes. It's perfect and easy to hit.
