Make my yard look like a golf course?

Hi, you might not be the best person to ask, but thought Id give it a shot. I want my yard to look like a golf course. Not really a putting green, but between a fairway and light rough.

I currently have bermuda grass and in the past have always kept it pretty high. I fertilize and water 3 times a week (about 20 mins per). I can get it looking pretty good and green in the summer, but never anything like a golf course type.

I was thinking maybe I need to cut it lower, which after some reading ran across these reel mowers.

Is changing to a reel mower going to make a huge difference? Any other tips, tricks?

I hope you don't mind, but I'll answer your question with a recommendation...... Head on down to your local course and chat with the superintendent. I'll bet he'd love to share some of his expertise and he'll have the added perspective of someone familiar with your local conditions.
