So I got back from Hawaii a couple weeks ago, and I'm still just beaming about that trip I cannot wait to get back.
I was in Maui for 4 days, and I stayed right on the Ka'anapali GC. I know its pathetic, but I could not stop humming the big break theme... didn't play the course though as my travel companions were not so interested.

In Oahu, I did get to play and we decided to try a course which claims to be "toughest in the nation", Ko'Olau! (Or as we now affectionately refer to it "Ko'OhWow!")

I carded a 92 from the "resort" tees, (6,406yds, 71.7, 138) which i was pumped about since it was with rental clubs and this was my second round of the year. But really i didn't care about the score, this was just a fun experience!

I definitely recommend this course, just bring LOTS of golf balls.

I agree with all you said. I played Ko'Olau in May of 2008 and it was beautiful. Not only the course, but also the scenery. It is a must play course if you go to Honolulu.
