What was your first score?

Well, I finally got out for that round. It was, shall we say, an experience.

The course was soaking wet when we got there, and it started to rain by the fifth hole, making it worse. I'm suprised they let anyone on the course considering the state of it.

We stopped counting strokes after the third hole, after I had taken two 12's (par 4s) and a 7 (par 3 - 100 yards straight uphill). I'm sure my average score over the rest of the course was no better.

On the fifth hole I hit easily my best shot of the round (not really saying much). I hit a 3W off the tee a good 200 yards, dead straight to the middle of the fairway. I stupidly made the comment that a green in regulation was a possibility. Five shots later I was on the green.

This game is a blast, I love it.
