Not that I see! I don't really feel like the pricing on Callaway preowned is very competitive when compared with the likes of ebay or clearance merchandise at any major vendor.

How are the Hogan Apex Plus iron sets cheaper new than they are used?

I believe Callaway is ending production of the Ben Hogan line.

I have already found some good prices on anything with the Ben Hogan name on it.

I am also about to pull the trigger on a set of Ben Hogan blades. $310 shipped for a brand new set of blades.

So, I went ahead and purchased the Hogan Apex Plus set. I hit them at Golfsmith when I picked them up (have a range in the back) and then went to the range later in the day.

Overall, I'm more impressed with the irons than I thought I would be. Off-center hits aren't punished as badly as I had expected. I love the feel of sweet spot strikes.

In reality, these aren't any hard to hit than my MX-19s, and the feel is so much better. A bad swing is a bad swing. Anything that was off with these would have been off with anything else. I'm glad that I made the switch.
What's in the bag:

G10 9 degree, TFC 129 shaft, stiff
Big Bertha 3 Wood
FTX 2i, Apex Plus 3i-E MP-R 52/07 and 56/13 Zing

    • Day 19: worked with foam balls for a while. Going slow to make sure I’m rolling and twisting. It feels weird, which is good. Going to take more work, but I’m on the way I think.
    • Day 39 (16 Apr 26) - Back to easy swings as the lead foot was overly tender from yesterday - stuck to some easy pitches with wedges and a few 1/2 tempo swings with 6i.  Was good to slow down and work on setup and overall alignment…
    • I saved the ball and wrote the details -- "my first eagle," course, hole number, and date on it.  Maybe I should write the yardage and the club too.
    • Day 8, April 16.  Continued pelvis turn drills after work today;  I've already spent 20 minutes doing this, am taking a short break (and have fulfilled the challenge for the day) and then I'm back to it.
    • Played 9 holes tonight. Driver is hit or miss, but I haven’t practiced that at all. It was a struggle to get sequencing down for the arms and lower body. I definitely have to do my downswing wrist piece a lot or I just push the crap out of the ball. Pitching needs some work. Chipping was good, chipped in twice. Putting was fine.  Shank Counter: 2
