Geeees dude........ take a deep breath. Taylormade is a good company to deal with period. You got that answer from a golf shop, not Taylormade. Where did you buy the club? Was it from a respectable store, or some local guy, or Ebay? You made a bold accusation for the limited info you provided. You couldnt tell a clone from the real thing?......... if not.............its your loss.

The tool is heavy (mine is feather light and grey in colour)

Hmmm...very interesting, sounds like the wrench is counterfeit as well--and i'd put money on the fact that it's not a torque wrench at all, i.e. it will NEVER click! (it's the wrench that clicks, not the screw)

I sent the club back to the seller and got a full refund. I have since bought the real thing from a pro shop and clicks perfectly when tightened! I have learned my lesson and will not be buying golf clubs through ebay again!!

Good to hear you got things settled...still it'd be interesting to know whether the seller was guilty of selling phoney clubs?

Despite your bad experience there are still some good deals to be had on ebay, it'sjust a matter of filtering out the rubbish.

Wow, great you got a refund. I'd still bet the seller knew it was counterfeit; even knowing they might have to refund one or two, if it protects their ebay ratings, they'll still make plenty of profit to cover.

Great article on counterfeit clubs in China in the last Golf magazine btw if you haven't read it....
