Hitting driver straight but pulling irons

Hey guys
Went to the range the other day, and started off like i usually do by hitting some wedges and then working my way down. Well first shot was nice and pure thought it was going to be a good day, boy was I wrong. I started pulling everything, and I mean everything or at least 90% of my shots just went left. After a while of not being able to fix the problem, figured I would take some anger out with the big stick(a club i never hit well). Well to my surprise these shots were dead straight with one or two sliced a little bit. How is this possible? Or a better question is how can i stop pulling the ball so much.

It's possible your ball position was too far forward on your irons and you were hitting them after you released the club (so the face was angling left). Could also have been that your grip was too strong, which can be fine for a driver but not necessarily OK for the shorter-shafted clubs.

Flex in the shafts of the irons might not be right for you.

Maybe you flattened your swing plane unconsciously. That will create less problem with the longer clubs but leads to pulls with the shorter ones.
