At the range today hitting some balls. Of course it was hot as all heck and I'm sweating like a grease monkey. I hit a pretty bad one and recoiled back and my 3-iron slipped right out of my hand and flew back towards the putting greens...Glad I didn't hit someone...

Lesson? Anger only makes things worse...How embarrassing...

Well, if your clubs are falling out of your hands like that, you should probably
a) Get new grips
b) Get a towel
c) Slow down
d) All of the above.

This happened just this last Monday. Warming up for a charity scramble, me and a few buddies are taking turns hitting drivers. This guy comes up to an area just to the left of where we are hitting. Irons are to be hit off of the mats and the drivers... we just stepped forward a little and hit off the grass. The first swing from this guy made the ball bounce straight up. The guy played it off. The next ball was a toe shank that whizzed past my buddy (he did not even see it). In amazement, we wet to warn our friend of the danger involved in the location we were hitting balls. We sat and watched that guy almost hit three other people before he quit and started to putt. Haven't had a laugh that good in a while.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee
