Don't forget your Rossie used to cost over $100 when it was new. And it's not a bad putter, I actually had a Rossie II back in the day. I just prefer the feel and performance that a milled face of quality steel offers.

I have forgotten. Forgotten so much since I haven't been playing much in years that I don't actually have a Rossie!

At least I got the company right, I do play a Odyssey. My brother plays a rossie, I play the dual force 550. I need to get out on the course more!!!

I wouldn't want to putt with a Rossi. I wouldn't be comfortable with it at all. I don't like the design, color, or manufacturer. Who owns Taylormade?

What don't you like about Odyssey?

You play Calloway golf balls, so you actually do like the manufacturer of Odyssey putters.
How many people are hitting a 5-10 yr old driver that originally cost $300-400 new?

Not many!

There is nothing wrong with dropping that much coin on a club if you want to. I don't care you spend your money. I don't have a problem with that. My problem is and has been, you claiming that it can make you a better putter(which it wont unless of course you are putting with your driver).

Based on my experience my putting has improved with the addition of the SC to my bag. I used to play a White Hot #1 and it's a great putter. I was avg 35 putts per round which isn't great but I see many others that are much higher. After getting the SC I am now down to 31 putts per round including a round on Wed in which I rolled the rock 28 times. The bottom line is the feel of the SC has made my stroke better. I suppose the comeback is it's all in my head but the data, my partners, and my pro all confirm that my stroke has improved. My $.02.

I don't mind the Calloway Tour IX. It's a great ball. I do play Pro V1x's more often though. I guess it comes down to the fact it's a $3 ball and not a $200+ investment.

A lot of pros aren't paid to play a certain putter, though. A lot of the club contracts just say a player has to use 10 or 11 clubs of a manufacturer's line. Since putters are so personal and important, a lot of manufacturers don't force putters on their touring staff.

True. Good point.

Possibly part of the reason that Cameron's have such a devoted following. When you see guys like Tiger who could play well with any club, who change every club in their bag plus their ball to their sponsor's brand... but then continue to swear by the same putter... To me, that says something.

Amen to that. They are hideous. I will admit to collecting the Hula Girl head covers though.

I haven't read through all the quotes yet, but my vote for a putter that's like a Scotty Cameron are the Nike Unitized putters. They're pretty close.
