I appreciate the concept and believe it would help me significantly with regards to identifying where my peak velocity is through my swing. However, the cost is prohibitive, at least for me. I would be interested in seeing this high tech device compared to a low cost alternative. For instance, a ribbon or strip of material attached to the end of the shaft. The ribbon's volume will increase with speed as well, and if careful with selecting the material, you can probably get a low hum, even at low speed.

I met the designer (Yale prof.) in Bethany, CT at Fore Seasons golf.... Nice guy. I like the concept. Certainly a good idea, but I can't afford it!
