A lot of us on here refer to the saying "it's not the arrow, it's the indian" as an analogy meaning, loosely interpreted "it's not the equipment, it's the golfer"

however, the indan's arrow is really analogous only to the golfer's golf ball, or, in another comparison, the shooter's bullet.

and in the comparison, in golf we're typically referring to our clubs, right?

so shouldn't the analogy really be "it's not the bow, it's the indian"?


a minor point i know, but we golfers love our details, don't we?

just sayin'.

No, I had never thought of that. I did think of it while reading your post. I am hoping to not think of it again after finishing this reply.

I am thinking about how to chip better from hard pan, though!
