Has anyone tried this ball? I have a swing speed in the range recomended for this ball and it feels to me like I'm hitting a weighted marshmallow. I normally play a proV1 And have tried several but nothing seems to compare to the V1 in distance and feel. I am not a Titleist rep. just asking the question.

Yeah, I've gone a few rounds with that ball. To me, I like the 330 S more than the RX. Sadly, I get the ProV1 and x to hold greens better. That is followed closely by the 330 S. The RX just doesn't hold firmer greens the same.

I`m trying them now, but the Pro V is winning by a landslide so far.

The B330RX is awesome. Its got all the spin of a premium ball, but its designed for a slower swingspeed and is easier to compress; so its much better for the average golfer.

I've been playing them for a few weeks, Not sure I like them off my driver, but off my mid to long irons I must say they are very good. Now I haven't tried them in firm or dry conditions as I think it has only not rained 5 days in the past month and a half , so when I go at the green it sticks good, but time will tell. Maybe my driver is at the upper limit of the swing speed recomended and my irons are right there in the range, who know's I just like the feel so far, but as with everything else that is subject to change.

I really need to find a "bang head on desk" smiley for these repeat threads.

OP: you'll find a lot of answers already if you do a search.

I bought a box this spring and am not too impressed with them. They are ok, but not worth the price tag IMO. They were all around a average ball it felt like to me.

A ball I really like right now and can see playing most of this year with are the TMade TP Red's. It's either those or Pro V's.

IACAS,

Sorry for the repeat. I post on another sight in my other hobby (Cowboy Action Shooting) and understand your irritation with new guys like me that haven't seen the other threads that may be a repeat of an old subject. I think the problem may be that like me, I generally just have the time to read some of the stuff that's written and don't have the time to do a search. I'll try to be a little less repetative in the future.

I was a long time Pro V player up until this year. On a whim I tried the 330s and I won't be going back to the Pro V's any time soon.

For my game, the 330's are just as long, if not a bit longer. They hold the greens where I play as well as the Pro V's and they feel great around the green. The thing I like the most about them though is that they seem to be a bit more forgiving when I miss. Every ball is wonderful when everything is square and you hit them pure. The thing I've noticed with the Pro V's is that if you but a bit to much sidespin on them they tend to curve off the planet. Sadly I don't get to play enough to pure it every time so when I do miss the 330's tend to wind up in the 1st cut as opposed to the Pro V's which end up in the trees.

That said, the performance characteristics of the balls are getting more and more similar. It's more about personal feel and preference now much like it is with drivers, irons, putters, wedges...etc..

I tried out a sleeve a couple of weeks ago. Its probably a decent ball, but i wasnt too thrilled about it. I used it in hopes i could pick up some iron distance, but i found that not to be the case. Im using the 09 prov1s right now.

Try them; fantastic. My SS is a bit over what they rate them for but I'll be using them for the foreseeable future. Great feel, particularly short pitching, chips and putting. Easily good enough spin. Long; in fact I found them very long off my irons - go figure. Very resilient urethane cover - generally get easily 2-3 rounds out of them even with new wedges.

Only downer is a bit pricey....but given they don't get trashed after one wedge shot worth a go. Cheaper than V1/V1x anyway.

Anyone comapred the B330s vs. the e5+?

The e5+ is dramatically cheaper than the B330s, and yet still claims to be a good spinny ball. I'm wondering if anybody has played both, and whether there is a $15-20 difference in performance.

I play the b330 tour, which is reccomended for 115+ mph ss with a driver. I dont have this ss, but the ball is perfect for me, and feels great. This proves that you shouldn't always go by what the manufacturer says.

I've not played the 330S much but I have played the E5+ quite a lot and it is a very, very good ball for the money. Masses of spin. It's a bit firm off the putter and for chipping but not too bad. Pretty high trajectory but I think it was designed to be a high ball. Cover is pretty shred-resistant as well. I wouldn't say there's $15-20 difference between the E5+ and any of the "Tour" balls in performance except for the feel. If it were a bit softer it would probably be my ball of choice given it's price point.

Mind you, he did not recommend specific club but rather to what consider and how to plan.  What a great day for course management education at the next level.
