They are a fantastic company. They are only one of two golf companies that has their clubs forged entirely in Japan. Mizuno is the other. They make a variety of clubs, ranging from blades to game improvement irons.

I've hit the Tour Revolution irons, which are a players cavity back. They feel fantastic. The person I went to had me hit them with some Nippon Pro Steel Shafts at a D6 swingweight. They felt like pure butter.

Unfortunately, I did not have the cash to build a set but once this season is over, I will have him build me a set to spec. I have not tried their wedges but the ones he had were really nice, too. The great part is that he can do all the bending and lie adjustments and dial in the swingweights. An entire set: irons, wedges, a hybrid and FW with custom shafts were quoted to me for $800. So, I think it's a steal, price wise.

Like I said, though, those particular irons, the tour revolution, are fantastic. The best player's cavity I've hit.

my club guy in tallahasse really likes them, and offered to fit me, but i couldnt afford them at the time. He also works with some tour players, and says they love them. He told me id be suprised how many were using kzg even though they pay no sponsership money.

".... I've hit the Tour Revolution irons, which are a players cavity back....."

I believe you are referring to the EVOLUTION irons....a progressive iron set up...

The clubs are great...we have been a KZG dealer for 8 years....but most likely will discontinue, like so many other dealers, due to their attitude and way they treat their dealers. They are well made products....but you should be warned that all the support they talk about, may be gone, or harder to get as days go by.

Been playing KZG blades for almost 3 full seasons now and LOVE them to death. I was fitted at Adro's Custom Golf in Rockville MD for the full set of irons, driver, and a 5 wood (didn't fit the 3 because I was very happy with my stock Sonartec). The whole process took about 3 hours, and the guys at Adro's are definitely very good at what they do. Obviously ymmv depending on your fitter. As for the sticks? I think they feel every bit as good as Mizuno's forgings, and just like Mizzys they feel soft as butter when struck pure (and they nick like butter when you hit a rock too). Definitely consider taking a look at KZG if you're looking to get fitted.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been considering getting fit for some irons, hopefully I'll have the cash soon.

I've been playing KZG irons for almost 8 years now. I'm playing what's now known as the "Cavity Backs' with Rifle shafts and I absolutely LOVE them. I made the move to them because I was looking for a little more help than you get from traditional muscle backs.

There aren't any compromises with KZG in terms of quality, they just don't spend a the money on advertising that the big names do.

I can truthfully say I'll be playing my KZG's for a long long time.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
