Is there anyway that I could buff up my Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum Newport 2 without doing any damage, and is there a way that I could fill in some of the decal with a white paint that was once there, and what could I use?

Here are some pics:

Sorry for the quality, my phone is all I can use.

"Yep. Inside each and every one of us is one true authentic swing. Somethin' we was born with. Somethin' that's ours and ours alone. Somethin' that can't be taught to ya or learned. Somethin' that got to be remembered."

Have you considered sending it in to the Scotty Cameron custom shop? I went to the website the other day. Not only will they make it look brand new, they will do custom paint and such as well.

Yeah but thats not really what Im looking for. I dont have $145 to spend on touching up my putter, especially when all I really want to do is shine it up and fill in the lettering. I'm sure they do a great job but I would probably rather buy a new putter before I spend $150+ on renewing my current one which plays fine.

I hear you man. It is a lot of dough. But I saw some before and after pics and I was amazed. I have an older SC Newport 2 with teryllium face. It has the black finish that wouldn't hold up. The new "pro platinum" is a heck of an improvement durability wise. I am going to get it redone and give it to my pops.

use super fine sandpaper
like 2200 or something super fine and for repainting i have been experimenting with acrylic paint and nail polish but neither work good enough. i have the same problem as you do

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
