Hi all, I can pick a set of the Callaway X-14 irons in great condition. 3-9 irons, Sw, PW for 175.

From the site..

X-14 Irons are The Best Selling Irons in Callaway Golf History!
The Steelhead X-14 Irons feature stainless steel construction and Variable Face Thickness (VFT) Technology to ensure a precisely located center of gravity. Face thickness tapers strategically from top to bottom and heel to toe and is optimized in the long, mid and short irons. This helps promote more forgiveness and a greater resistance to twisting at impact.

Thoughts?

Thank You In Advance.

I would buy them in a heartbeat... the Cally X-14 is a classic SGI iron... when Callaway made the X-16, sales dropped and so with the X-18, then X-20 and now X-22, they have reverted to the original X-14 albeit with minor improvements given technological advances... and improved aesthetics

Driver: TaylorMade RocketBallz 10.5-deg
Woods: Cobra Bio Cell+ 3W and 5W
Hybrids: Bobby Jones Workshop Hybrid 3 (20-deg) and 5 (25-deg)
Irons: Srixon XXIO7 from 6 - PW
Wedge: Srixon XXIO7 GW and SW

Putter: Bobby Grace DCT Captiva 34"; Ball: Sirxon Soft Feel; Shoes: Footjoy

i just might do that afterall. I made a few bucks selling my t2000 racquet, so that will soften the blow even more. thanks bob~

try to find Ben Hogan BH5. They are the callaway x14 pro irons. They have less offset and look fantastic. I'm sure you could find it for cheaper than the callaways.

I gamed a set of the X-14 Pro Series with the Rifle Shafts for longer than any iron I've ever had......7 years or more.....

The only reason I replaced them was that I laid off the game for a couple three years and once I picked it up again my swing speed was significantly slower than before making them overly stiff for me...lower trajectory than I wanted.

The accuracy of these sticks was far superiour to any irons I've ever hit. I really liked them a ton....even though these were a low offset clean looking iron at set up....they offered tons of forgiveness on misshits.

Well made sticks that performed nicely.

I can honestly say, though, that I made a wise choice going from the Pro Series X-14s to the game improvement set I'm playing now.

    • I had another interesting ruling last week, in a pro "junior/senior fourball" event.  Near one of the greens was a drain, with the actual grate set maybe 3 or 4 inches below the ground surface.  It wasn't in a depressed area, basically just a straight-sided hole, with the surrounding ground pretty level.  A Player's ball was in some longer grass adjacent to the grate, maybe even overhanging a bit, to the "side" of the drain, so the path of his swing was "tangent" to the circular grate.  The ball was at ground level, so 3 or 4 inches above the metal grate itself.   As I saw it, there was no way at all that the actual Obstruction would impact any reasonable swing path, so I denied relief.  I did talk it over with another official, who said he would probably have allowed the relief, but agreed that it was a borderline call.
    • Here is where we're at so far.  (3) more spots left for Saturday, and (2) Sunday.  Again, if there are more folks interested in both days, we'll give preference to them.
