I like Mizuno, but have the club fitter recommend some clubs for you and hit them and see what suit your swing and budget

Then I would get two sets, Mizuno MX-200 and Mizuno MP-57. You keep the MX-200's and ship the MP-57s to me (1/2 inch short, 1 degree flat)...

Joking aside, this maybe a little late but you're in a great situation. Hit a few different sets. If possible, take a few sets to the course and play a round or two with them. You'll find one that you hit better and feel great. Go with those. Then you can turn into a club ho and get a new set 3-4 times a year...

If it were me I would hold off on getting custom clubs. If you have only been playing 3 months you certainly have not developed the mechanics or setup that you will base your golf game around for the future. I would get myself a nice set of standard standard standard clubs and work on it for a year or two. Then once you have developed like you have developed the basics I would then get fitted.

I have never played with fitted clubs but I am pretty close to the specs they set standards up to.

I would look at Mizuno, they have a wide range of Irons to match your particular skill set. MX-100 or 200's for maximum forgiveness, perhaps MP-52's which offer good forgiveness but also offer a degree of playability that a more accomplished player would appreciate and could effectively utilize.

I'm a 7.9 handicap, and I play MP-52's because the offer a strong level of forgiveness, but also allow me to work the ball effectively and with relative ease. Then there is the Mizuno feel, soft and solid, you'll never find a better feeling iron.

True, with only 3 months experince, you are early in your development as a player, but set of customed fitted Mizuno's will provide you with a solid plateform to support and service your game.

anybody got anymore good clubs?

I'm in the market for some game improvement irons and have hit quite a few lately. You really need to swing a handful and see what feels good to you. My short list right now: MX-100, MX-200, Ping G-10, Callaway X-22. Someone mentioned the Ping Rapture, I haven't hit those as they are more $$ than I want to spend. That list above is what felt pretty good to me, hope you can find what feels good to you.

What's in my bag?
