Here's what I come up with for Driving Distance Matchups,
handicapped by yards (-6.5 = yards). The top player is always giving up the yards.

Watson vs Holmes
-6.5
-120

Garrigus vs Ridings
-2.5
-120

Wetterich vs Gore
-9.5
-120

Cink vs Perry
-1.5
-120

Mayfair vs Andrade
-1.5
-120

Calcavecchia vs Kelly
-5.5
-120

Browne vs Verplank
-2.5
-120

Faxon vs Pavin
-2.5
-120

I'm not sure we're going to be much into this kind of stuff, to be honest. Your sig is fine. Posting for your business here is probably getting near the line, if not crossing it.

Like your thoughts Mikee -- I play match-ups on the PGA weekly and sometimes dabble in the Euro Tour.

The Kelly/Perry match is intriguing -- I think KP is starting to get it going a little with a nice showing at Avenil -- I don't see a ton of value in laying chalk with Kelly.

Really like Holmes over Watson -- Bubba struggling with his accuracy off the tee and JB seems to be a more consistent driver of the ball.

Good luck with the rest

We will see what happens. I can't put up any more stats.

But I abide by their rules. Some guys asked me a while ago about coming to Costa Rica. My new wife, yes I married a local girl down here and am very happy with her, is a travel agent. I can get you guys some good deals and we can play golf to our hearts content.

Also, in 3 weeks, I'm going down to Panama to play the Royal golf club. It looks really good and I'll give you guys a report. It's an all inclusive trip. Golf, dinner and drinks galore.

If the course is up to my standards, we all could play here and there

    • I’d go with the Titleist if you liked the look of the blades but were suffering with distance. They should be a little more forgiving than a full blade and still retain some workability. Also remember to consider the shafts each have as this will be a big contributor to how they feel. Clemsonfan is right though… get fit or spend a bit of time on a launch monitor 🤙
    • Day 28: 2026.01.30 Managed to make time for a few swings out back today. Need a proper bit of range time this weekend.
    • Day 30, 1/30.  Six minutes this morning hitting a few more range balls, indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Did this before leaving the house.

    • Hi All my New Year’s resolution was to start playing golf again. I’ve caught the bug and am really enjoying hitting balls at a couple of my local ranges.looking forward to getting back out on courses in the spring. Based in the UK and 38 years old, I’ve been playing since I was a kid. Best handicap I’ve held is 2 in my mid 20s. Over the past 10 years I’ve played once or twice a year, sometimes with friends or for work. Could shoot 4-5 over, but just as easily shoot 15-20 over. I’ve moved to South Wales and am very lucky to be near some world class links courses, which gives me even more motivation to get playing again! I will start looking for a local coach in my area when I have more time to invest, but I recalled scouring this forum a few years ago and finding some good tips and advice so wanted to give it a try to see if there were any glaring issues I could fix in the meantime!  A few swings below… one from 1st week Jan and one from today. I have fixed my P1 takeaway to my liking and am now working on what I see as pretty severe early extension & hip thrust. Also terrible hip rotation. I’d like confirmation that this is indeed a problem and and suggestions on a few good drills. Thanks for reading 🙂 I've been Playing Golf for: 30+ years My current handicap index or average score is: 10ish over My typical ball flight is: mid The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: push right with irons, hooks and push with driver!  Videos:
