So far, I am so happy I did. I started with a 3H, then admitted to myself that I didn't hit my 4 iron a consistent distance at all, so went with a 4H as well.

I have been lying to myself for months now that I could count on hitting my 5 iron 180 yards with any kind of regularity. Thank god for the $1 hybird special Callaway is offering with a new driver.

I got a FT-9, and a $1 27 degree hybrid. Took them both to the range and hit 14 out of 15 shots with the 5H 180 on the button with a nice little draw on it. With my 5 iron, it would have probably been about 4 out of 15 that far, with most falling into the 150-160 range, which is what my 7 iron is for

I'm willing to be asked when Q-school is for the LPGA by my buddies to have a great chance of getting on in regulation on long par 4s and taking my revenge on their wallets

That is a good line....

I tried a 5H when I was in the throes of hybrid love. Like all early romances after longer and somewhat stale relationships, it was nice at first, then I learned more about her personality. She handled great off the deck and on those quickie par 3s. But she can't handle the rough spots very well and I began to remember how versatile my 5I was. With just a little practice and counselling, I was able to regain the old touch my 5I craved and she rewarded me in kind.

Now my 5H sits alone. Hopefully she will let bygones be bygones when my 5I finds I can no longer perform to her expectations, but with all the new technology that may be a while.

My 4H is getting a little nervous, too.

Me too. 3H, 4H, 5H. I got TaylorMade Rescue's years ago. Just replaced them with the Adams Idea Pro Gold.

When I went with hybrids I started looking forward to longer shots. I don't hit it close, but I get it up there close enough for a chance at up and down.

Hey man, do what you gotta do. Im thinking of getting a 23 hybrid to replace the 4i myself. For me, the older 585 hybrids from titliest play almost like irons anyway, but are easier to hit. Why make it harder on yourself?

I'm playing the Adams A2 OS... Hybrids through 6I... Really want to get a set of MP-57's but just can get myself to pull the trigger as I hit the old clubs pretty well. The grooves are starting to wear so this may be the last season for them....

Smile, it makes people wonder what you're up to...

I'm really considering adding the 5h to my bag. I can hit my 5i well, but it entirely depends on the day. See HCP.

I read into the your'e a high handicapper take an iron safely and then an 8 iron to give yourself a 110 yard approach thing because I felt that being that I was told this I had no business hitting greens in 2.

Then I said you know what I'm a pretty good ballstriker and I could challenge a lot of these par 4's with hybrids off the deck,so instead of leaving myself PW or GW into greens I can get close by taking on those 200 yarders from the fairway, like has been said you have an easier shot onto the green even when you miss.

They are great and the ballflight is something to behold.

That's great they work for you. I wish I could add a hybrid, but I've tried most of them out there, and my swing just doesn't fit them. I can consistently hit hit a chunk slice with them, and that's it.

good on ya bro
whatever u gotta do to make it happen

personally me, i carry only a driver
my 3 and 4i are wicked clubs...i often hit the 3i off the T, in lieu of driver if i need to keep it tight
my 4i is my go to club, when i need to reach greens in 2
dunno, never was able to hit woods, metals, hybrids...whatever u wanna call them...cant hit em off the deck

good luck w the new sticks! :)
