I know this is a pretty subjective question, but anyone out there have any suggestions on new grips that you have experimented with and really liked? Or even a long-time user of a certain grip that you swear by?

I currently use the Lamkin Perma-Wrap Classic -- which I like, but am looking for a change to something more solid and doesn't have the grooved wrap.

BTW -- I have no problem with getting new grips, hitting them for a week and, if I don't like them, changing them again -- so please don't hesitate to respond.

Thanks

I like the golfpride multicompound Black and White new grips.I have played the Red and Black multi's for a while but recently tried the new Black and White better.I do not know what hte difference is as far as the 2 grips but the Black and Whites feel tackier on the cord end so I get a better feel as my hands do sweat a lot. They are not cheap at 9 bucks a pop plus install but I am worth it.

the colors are purely cosmetic, it's all in your head :)

the multi compounds are great. if you're not as concerned with brand recognition, Sharpro acctually holds the patent to the "technology" GP uses in the multicompound grips and the sharpro equivalent grips are pretty fantastic from what i hear, more colors as well :) helpful if you want to get some lime green grips to match your ping raptures or something similar !! hehe

Yup, great grips. By far my favorite...I have about 4 of my clubs gripped with these. Plan on getting the irons done as well in a month or two.

I think you'll find that the most popular grips on tour are the Golf Pride Tour Velvet, one of the most basic and cheapest out there.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Yup, those are what I've got on my clubs. And when you know you've got to regrip your clubs every year anyway the low price is nice ($5 per grip and that includes install). They feel fantastic and I have no problem getting a year's worth of use out of a set.

Love the new grips....good info on the GP multi-composite.

Damn, you never really realize how worn your old grips were until you replace them....like night and day.

    • Day 56 - 2024-11-15 Light day. Lots of catch-up work. Checked the grip to make sure I wasn't compensating there, and did a little backswing work.
    • Day 197 (15 Nov 24) - Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management.  Solid round of 83 (41/42) - 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.
    • Have been on a mid to low 80’s roll of late - today was no different with an 83 (41 front / 42 back).   Played in the Friday men’s group outing - blustery conditions in play (wind gusting 10-20; spotty pop up misting rain; temps in the mid 50’s), so it was a good day to work on course management, delivering 7 GIR, total 32 putts - included 10 pars (3 being up and downs), a dbl and triple bogie.  Local course starting to get that winter feel - wet areas wetter, thin grass thinner, greens  trickier.
