Yesterday I played 36 after I worked (at the course in the morning), and I played one amazing round of golf. Recently I shot a 79 at my home course on Father's Day with my dad to finally break 80 this year. Yesterday I played with a few friends from work and hit the ball amazing! Here's how the stats broke down.
Greens- 14/18. New best previous record was 9
fairways- 8/13
putts- 35 higher than normal with all the GIRs
birdies- 1
pars- 13
bogeys-2
dbls- 1
triples- 1
score 77 (+6)
just think if I got rid of the double n the triple it would have been a 72! It was just the best round and I can't wait to post again next time when I shot a 75 and start getting closer to my golfing goals!

Very nice. I shot an 81 at my home course a week ago. I was really really pleased with that. Three years ago I couldn't break 100 so if I can break 80 like that, I know I'd be stoked. Nice work man.

Congrats on your score...like you said, if you had managed to knock a few more putts in or even minimized some of your bigger numbers your score would have been even lower.....something to look forward to!!! Very impressive with the GnR!!

Nice round.
I just posted an 80 at a tough course the other day. I was really pleased because I have been struggling to score all year after shooting in the 80's steadily last year.
I made 2 long, twisting birdie putts and chipped in to save a par. Was hitting fairways and greens regularly. It was nice to have it all working together again.
I play again Friday and hoping to repeat success (new course). Like the other poster said though, I sometimes get too far in my own head after a good round and blow up the next one.

Great round man, it feels awesome when everything comes together.

Definitely keep lowering your score by getting rid of the disaster holes, its harder to start birdieing a hole your normally par, etc. when you could just lay back a little and pick up a single instead of double/triple.

    • I have never performed any kind of "study" on this but I "feel" like I play better after a workout. I hit the gym the morning before rounds when ever I can.  The truth is I "feel" better after a morning workout no matter what I'm doing afterwards.  If I do any kind of workout after the round, 99 times out of 100 its just stretching.
    • A few month ago tested hitting the gym before a round of golf, not good result. I was soured for a few holes, not ideal for tournament play.  After golf I'm tired, the is no way I hit the gym. Even My legs are tired next morning so I always take a rest day and I'm fully recovered to hit the gym the next morning.
    • Day 1: Worked on putter feels and getting the backswing and follow through lengths to match.
    • Tremendous finish by Grace Kim! Eagles the 18th to tie Thitikul. Takes a penalty shot on the first playoff hole and chips in for birdie from the drop area to advance to the second playoff hole. Eagles the last to win! -5 in three holes to win!
    • Hello Im new to this forum and as my username says, Im also new to Golf. Im from the NJ area and Im getting into Golf mostly because you get to meet all sorts of interesting people. Also, because it's fun. So those are the reasons Im getting into Golf, not because I ever hope to get all that good but just because I like to do it to have fun and to meet people.
