So I might be getting a small amount of money (~$100) to spend on some used clubs soon. Maybe $200 if I wait another month. But ignoring the extra money that may or may not show up next month, does anyone have any good suggestions for finding some used clubs on ebay? Brand/models? I scour the website all the time, but I know next to nothing about the particular models.

If you happen to be an ebay junkie like I am and see something that's good for a beginner (i'm still shooting mid 50's on par 36), could you post a link with recommendations? Anything you guys can tell me will help.

The clubs I have right now are horrible, to the extreme. I paid $20 at a garage sale and found out they were the $65 special from Dick's. They actually hurt my hands when I hit the ball flush. There's a weird backlash shock thing going on with the cheap graphite. My neighbor checked them out and he agreed that it was probably the cheap shaft material.

anyway, I'd like to find clubs with steel shafts, Regular flex is probably fine but stiff would be better as I can get the club head movin (but I'm keeping it slower now so I don't slice as much). I'm not to particular about brands but would like to find something that will last a while.

so... any suggestions? Thanks a ton guys. I love this forum. I've learned quite a bit reading about rules and gear and techniques, it's awesome!

I have heard there are some great deals to be had on MacGregor clubs right now because they are going out of business. Also, on ebay if you browse to Sporting Goods and then to Golf Clubs, you can narrow down your search on the left and put in a price range to see exactly what is available in your price range. Also, check craigslist.

I think you can pick up some Titleist DCI's in pretty good condition for 100$ on ebay before shipping. I have heard good things about them.

Trust me, I scour both places, and totally know how to refine searches on ebay.

I've been told, due to my ability level, to stay away from blades for now... so that's all I really know about that. For some reason, I'm Titleist obssessed so I'll be checking ebay for them =P

Adam's Tight Lies

those are only 12 bucks for shipping. Is that a good deal? I don't know much about Adam's other than it's an up and coming company. Any opinions?
