I never had this problem until I started taking lessons.. It's quite destructive. I've scored worse last 6 weeks because of it. I know what causes it but I can't seem to get my lower body working right I believe. What drills can I do without a club, without the ball, whatever. I've just got to get this over the top move gone. I've been working my butt off and today I ran out and shot a 97 with probably 12 penalty strokes because of it

Go out to the range lay a club down outside of the golf ball and pretend ur aiming it to like the 2nd baseman in a baseball game and try to make your clubhead path follow it

ok... address the ball with your driver in a straight left arm, taking care to keep your left arm straight throughout the whole swing(most important). when you come back with your club, and in your backswing, flatten out your forehand on your left hand so that it's pretty much parallel to the ground and your clubface, in other words, directly horizontal. this is an exaggeration, but you can experiment with a few shots like this, then make your hand a little more vertical, until you reach your perfect spot. also, practice trying to pull your hands back behind your body when you hit. this of course, is an exaggeration as well. but you can find a medium with both until you're hitting it well again.

First of all make sure you have a nuetral grip. I had a instructor look at my grip and to my suprise it was a little strong with my right hand. Ok now you can see the the first 2 knuckles on left and right hand. If this doesn't work, try this "feel". When you begin your downswing, actually all the way through to impact, get the feel that your leading the club down the swing path with the hosle or the back of the club, your club face will square at impact and you will smash the ball. You might push a couple right(not slice)at first but I guarantee it will work.- Steve

    • Flying into ATL on Sept 11 (Thu), early, leaving Sept 15 (Mon), late. Dates are fixed. Trying to hit the best RTJ Trail stops without spending half the trip in the car.   Plan: Thu: Grand National (Lake or Links) Fri: GN AM, then drive to Capitol Hill, play Senator Sat: Capitol Hill – Judge Sun: Ross Bridge Mon: Oxmoor Ridge early, drive to ATL   Thinking about squeezing in Cambrian Ridge after Capitol Hill—worth it or too much? Would love any feedback or tips from those who’ve done it.
    • Day 73 (13 Jul 25) (note: forgot to post the "day" for the past few days, up to day 73) - Easy day in the backyard, with time on the 50deg wedge and the mat (simulating tight lies around the green) working on low spinners.  Love using this mat as it is small and portable but also lends to being a type of alignment rod to get a proper setup.  Finished up with a few swings with the 54.
    • Congrats on the new leg of your journey - the challenge of learning something new while dealing with Parkinson’s is totally awesome.
    • Played several holes today with my Buddy's left haded clubs.  I was going to order just woods, but after playing again today and hitting the irons well, I will be ordering a complet set of Left handed Clubs.    They are Callaway Edge, Regular flex.  I am excited !  Will let you know after I try them and let you know how well they performed.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • Depends in part on what lie the greens crew left me. If it's first cut of rough or fairway and clear shot to cup, it's an 8i chip and run. If it's shaggy, or I have to go over ridge or bunker, it's a cut shot with a 58* LW.
