I got the tight lies irons, took a little bit of getting used too but now I like them.

Was there anything unsatisfactory about the paint job and finish in these tight lies clubs? Specially the woods??

I only got the irons, so I have no idea what the woods are like.

I bought the ladies integrated A30S (13 clubs). I was surprised with how many of the clubs I kept in the bag. Only the 3, 5 wood and putter didn't stay in play. I hit my Nike SQ woods a little longer than the Adams and it's hard to compete with a Scotty putter. The Adams A30S driver did replace my R5 though (I was surprised too).

I use Adams Speedline woods and hybrid and they are awesome. Adams Idea Pro Gold irons are very nice in feel and get quite good distance. I would expect their other clubs to perform just as well. Their economical wedge set Tom Watson PVD is a bit lacking when imposing spin on the ball, so for the 56 and 60, I would look elsewhere.

Gotta disagree-have no problem putting plenty of spin on the Watson wedges, and that is comparing them to Vokeys, Clevelands, and my favorite wedge, my Macgregor DW Forged.

I would go to Golf Galaxy/Dicks Sporting Goods or any of the major golf shops and go snag a set of Adams A3's for $299.

Yep, you can get the A3s for the same price you quoted on the tight lies. The A3s are a better overall club than the tight lies.

Adams is making some good equipment lately, and mostly under the radar I think. I've had a #2 hybrid A3 Boxer that I swap out with my 5w from time to time. Earlier this year, I switched to the Adams Speedline driver and at the moment I've got my eye on the Pro Black MB irons, which I'll probably pick up in the off-season or next year.

    • I haven’t really filmed in a while. Starting to feel like my body is close to being at full strength again, but I am also 65! I played a few round and my distance is down as expected. Here are a 6 iron and driver swing. My grip is a bit weak in these so I’ve focused on that the last few days. I went over my Erie notes. I’m trying to swing down from the top and not out. I want my weight to start shifting forward at about P3. And I want to push my left hip back in the downswing, which I was not successful in these swings. Ball flight has been pushes or pull draws with the irons and fades with the driver. Looking at these swings I can see why. I just need to change the picture.
    • I flipped the video above but here it is again so you see the flipped version, too.
    • Things can go awry quickly on that hole.
    • I have played that course a lot. Mostly scrambles/outings. I enjoyed the read and could picture each hole and got nervous thinking about number 5. That hole is scary. 200 yard layup off the tee?
    • Even though you didn't score well, take solice in the fact you hit the longest drive of the year! 😏 I enjoy following your rounds and can imagine the scenario.   Thanks for sharing
