My used FT-i tour came in today, and I have already blasted though a couple of baskets and I am stunned.......and in love. I have a natural draw in my swing and my old TM r360 seemed to be amplifying the leftiness (yes, I made that word up) of my ball trajectory, so I assumed it had a somewhat closed face. It has been plaguing me all season, just that club. In comes Callaway....BOOM, scared the bejesus out of me, and made my ear that was facing the range divider ring for a couple of seconds. But damn, that was straight! I was actually able to pick my targets down range, set up, and BOOM (lol) so consistently that I was almost rolling around on the ground like an excited school kid. That was 2 hours ago. I am still smiling. I just thought I would share some of my excitement.

So, is the the arrow or the Indian? ( I hate that analogy, btw), but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Newer technology is a wonderful thing. The R360 has been out what....6 or 7 years? Advances have definitely been made!

Congrats...nothing beats the excitement of a new toy. Maybe this one will listen a little better!

While I know it's still the 'indian', I am a huge believer that the correct 'arrow' for that indian is also very important. If we all could have the equipment trucks at our disposal like they do on tour I think everyone would like better - for most players probably just a stroke or 2, but I am a big believer is a professional fitting. Of course it also comes down to players being honest with themselves and playing equipment that is a fit for them instead of Tiger Woods.

Mine really gives me a confidence boost at address. I know it's a draw model, so I'm not afraid to just let it fly. I can also hit more shots with it because I've learned to set up and hit straight as well as a tiny draw and a kind of pull-fade thing.

I would argue that people who live in major cities somewhat have that "equipment truck" available. I know there is a range in my town that will fit you with the proper equipment. I think it's more that people don't bother to get fitted rather than it not being available. I completely agree with you that people should be professionally fitted. I am sure that the majority of the players out there feel that buying the newest equipment will make the difference. However the truth is if they would just get properly fitted they would probably save themselves some money and strokes.

Congrats, you're currently in what's known as "the honeymoon period" which we all go through with new equipment. Seriously though, it's probably a little of both; the indian and the arrow. You've got a lot more confidence with your new toy so you it's easier for your to hit where you want it to go. But, the club may fit you better than your previous one did too, which helps. If you're swinging a driver that isn't the right shaft, loft, etc. for you, it makes it difficult to hit straight.
