I've been getting back into golf over the past few months after about 5 years away, and have been upgrading my equipment (which was old back then!) piece-by-piece. The last things to go were my Adams Tight Lies 3 and 5 wood.

I recently demoed and then ordered a G10 21* hybrid to fill my 3 iron void, and was hitting it about the same distance as my 5 wood. I never hit the 3 wood all that well, but when I caught it pure it would only be 15-20 yards short of my driver. So, I traded in both clubs and an old Callaway C4 in towards a G10 17* 4 wood.

I got a chance to hit a few balls with it at the range last night, and WOW what a difference. It is much easier to hit off the deck, and has a much more pleasing trajectory. It has a slightly lower launch than the Adams clubs with more roll on the ground. I was hitting it nice and straight at around 200-220 yards, which should make it perfect for teeing off on those short par 4s or as a second shot on par 5s.
