She's naturally talented for the game - far more talent than I actually have. I mean, she's 25 and a great athlete, she played D-1 tennis in college so golf seems to come easy to her, which I have not seen from many people.

It's not hard at all to translate your driving range swing to the course if what you're doing has the basic fundamentals of the golf swing...then you'll be fine. The point of what I'm saying is it's cheaper, and far worth your time to spend more of it practicing as oppose to playing - you'll also enjoy your time on the course more when you're better instead of getting frustrated more as a beginner.

When you do start putting in hours at the range though, you have to be sure you got the fundementals down. Grip, alignment, and posture - or else youre just going to end up banging your head agaist the wall. You should probably have a PGA pro help you with this.

Agreed.

I'd suggest getting "Ben Hogan's Five Lesson's" and you can learn the basic fundamentals of the modern golf swing. Start with that and then if you get stuck, you should go get some lessons if you can afford them (they aren't too expensive.)
