I was never fit for my wedges, I want to have my lie looked at... they are vokeys and cast... can they be changed safely or is this method only used on a forged wedge

They can be adjusted a degree or two, but not as much as a forged club. Better to order them in the proper config from the get-go - because at least then the manufacturer is doing the bending.

Just because a wedge is cast, doesn't mean it's not a good candidate for bending. Pay attention to the metal used. Vokeys are 8620 carbon steel which is about equal to 1020 on the Rockwell hardness scale. You can bend a Vokey six ways from Sunday, don't worry about it. I've bent them 5* before with zero issues. It is true that casting is usually used for more brittle metals that would shatter during the forging process, but Vokeys are an exception.
