I walked 27 holes today, my fat ass is now tired. Anyway, the last 9 I joined up with a 3some and one of the guys played some very interesting golf. Almost every hole was like this:

Drive, spray
Approach, short, left, or right (sometimes needed 2 on a par 4 or 3 on a par 5)
Chip to a kick in
Gimmie or super short putt for par or bogey.

I think he shot 5 over from the blues. His putting was never even tested! This guy chipped like a maniac. I watched him and he was super-wristy and his ball flight was very high with a soft release. He was able to do this out of any kind of lie. I've never seen such a deadly accurate chipper. The rest of his game was sputtering but it didn't matter so much as he made it up with the wedge.

If that didn't drive home how important wedge practice is, nothing ever will.
