I recently built a PW using a True Temper Black Gold - X flex shaft. The site I ordered the shaft from had an incorrect trim code listed for it, and I didn't double check it, so I ended up installing it untipped, when I should have tipped it 4.5 inches. I realized the mistake, and got a new shaft out of it. But I decided since I was going to reshaft it anyway, I would just throw a $3 grip on it and try it out. It's got a great feel, but it's really hard to control. You also can't try to swing too hard because it hits it a mile in the air. I thought since the X runs stiff anyway, it might not be too bad. Anyone else had a similar experience?
