I purchased a Cameron Newport 2 Mid-Slant a few weeks ago. I actually went out and got fitted for it and standard off the shelf specs was right for me a the time. Since then I've changed my grip, stance, and posture so the putter did not sole flat on the green at address; it was slightly toe up, which I didn't like and have since been raising my hands address to make the putter sole flat.

I took it today for an lie adjustment and had it flattened to 69 degrees from 71 (standard). The lie seems to be perfect for how I set up to the ball now which is a great confidence booster since I don't feel like I have to manipulate my hands to get the putter to line up correctly.

The other interesting thing is when he was adjusting the lie, he noticed the loft was about 4.75 rather than 4 (what it should have been). No idea how additional loft got added as I've not hit, slammed, kicked, etc. the putter since purchasing it and it's only a few weeks old. At any rate, the loft was adjusted back down to 4 degrees and what a difference! I thought it always looked like it had quite a bit of loft but I just assumed it was correctly at 4 degrees from Titleist.

Moral of the story: Get your putter checked!
