So I'm thinking of having my clubs fitted for myself.

I'm a short golfer ( 5'4" ) with long arms ( less than 29" ) from wrist to floor.

Im inexperienced with this so I lack a good understanding in choosing a good fitter and following or not following his advice.

What should I be looking to have done? Cut them down? Adjust the lie? Get both done?

Any advice on how these clubs should be adjusted for me is appreciated!

Erik Barezki answered this best in a previous post. Here it is:

You need a dynamic fitting with someone who watches you hit balls on the range. Go visit a club with a pro who can fit you into clubs. Ideally choose one with a fitting cart containing the clubs you want to buy (Titleist, Ping, whatever) just so you're looking down at a club you want to look at, but from there he can tell you REALLY what you need.

We dont have anywhere here that well set up, and I already have the clubs. I've been playing them all year and want to get them fit now.

From what research I've done there is really only 1 place in town to take them too ( pro shop at the local PandP course ) Apparently through word of mouth they are the best in town. The other option I have is a generic sports store, and after the job they did last winter sharpening my son's hockey skates Im VERY afraid to let them start cutting and bending a golf club.
