shaft option confusion?

I am looking at building a club online for order (most stores don't carry this brand or club--Acer XDS 16* widesole hybrid)

I have been fitted in the recent past for length, lie angle, and shaft flex, but never for graphite shaft specifics.

The website offers a vast array of options for shaft type (with some very expensive options that add as much as $60 to the base purchase)

Any comments on the quality of Acer shafts.
I'd like a higher ball flight.

Are the different colors just color of the shaft, or do they also indicate shaft characteristics.

Please post any links or previous threads discussing/evaluating different shafts.

some more info

6'5'' 240lb
driver swing speed 114 mph at 90% effort
use stiff flex in most of my other clubs (have used x-stiff also)
have a lowish ball flight
adapt well to lighter and heavier shafts
