It was a weird 18 today....

Played my first round with my new clubs and first round since i stared taking lessons.....I was pleased for the most part with the round but it had some odd moments...
Oddest par 3....Somehow i managed to completely pull out of my swing on a short par 3...topping a 8 iron and dribbling it about 40yds. I then stick a SW 3ft from the pin and par out the hole.

I drove the ball well and badly at the same time, an old habit of having the clubface slightly open at contact showed up with the driver....high fade. But i kept all but one in the fairway or first cut so although i didn't strike the ball like i should have i struck it well enough....
I have officially decided that my 21 hybrid is a godsend, off the tee on tight par 4's and on second shots on the longer par 5's i basically pured it every time it came out of the bag....185-205 depending on roll and wind and dead straight...
My approach shots were just ok....it hit 12-14 fairways off the tee...but only 6-14 GIR on the 4's and 5's....

And the weirdest part...overall i feel like off the tee and chipping were my strong points, putting was pretty good and iron play was ok at best....traditionally it would be about the opposite...

Oh yeah, i was 13 over on holes 1,2,17,18.....3 over on the middle 14.....
