Hi All,

I have new video of me at the range. Full speed video followed by half speed video of me swinging three clubs. My misses tend to be a very low shot or a bad push with clubs longer than my 7 iron. Any advice appreciated.

it looks like you have a very handsy swing...at least on the backswing...the most noticable thing for me was how close you were to the ball...try standing back from the ball a bit. my pro asked me to have a width of the hand in between my body and my club

Just starting with set up...

Not much upper body tilt- You should be bent more at the hips.
Really strong grip (at least appears so)- Get your right hand more on top of the club.

do you mean i am too upright or that my head isnt far enough behind the ball?

Your torso is too upright. You can check this w/o a club.

With knees just slightly flexed, bend at the hips (ie, push your ass out) and let your arms hang straight down. Your hands should be over or even slightly past your toe line.

Along with being too close, you're also very hunched over. Notice the picture of Tiger above (or any pro). His back is basically a straight line from his hips to the base of his neck (which tilts down just a bit so he can see the ball!). Then look at yourself. Your lower back is almost straight up and down and then you have a very serious hunch in your upper back. Straightening that out will force you to get a better distance from the ball...

thanks for the advice everyone.

i have been working pretty hard on tempo and keeping a steady head, and judging by the video, my head seems very steady and my tempo decent enough. glad to know i can find serious improvement through some setup adjustments.
