When I played sectionals for the US Open this year, the course played a lot longer than the 6900 yards, and very narrow. The first hole was only 380, but you had to hit a 3 iron or hybrid to a landing area only about 18 yrds wide at the 120 marker. If you missed the fairway you had to punch a shot with a 4 iron out of 5 inch rough to about 90 yrds just trying to get it up and down. Then there was the long par 4 with a 22 yrd wide fairway. I hit the ball very straight... but daaaaamn

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee

just played Weyhill this afternoon. Very Very tough. not many chances to go big with driver. Had a lot of 2i Hybrids off the tee. Gorgeous course though.

Shot a 39 on the front, +3. missed a lot birdie putts that i should i have made. Didnt finish the back though.

Yeah. Great course, isn't it?

It's a lot of doglegs too. From the tips with how far I drive the ball I had trouble getting it past the dogleg's so I had chances to get to the green on my 2nd shot, it was frustrating. 39 is a great score on the front...I'm assuming you played the tips, I shot a 44 on the front, but yeah, 39 is really nice dude.
